Rob Kubo is a smart guy. The lead appliance platform architect at Teradata and former Navy officer holds 82 patents. And when he sat down for a Q&A with Teradata Magazine and said the new Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance 2690 is truly unique and innovative, he had the facts and stats to back it up.
The latest addition to the Teradata Purpose-Built Platform Family delivers the technology that’s important to businesses: it allows three times as many data blocks to be stored on the appliance, compared to its predecessor. It also doubles the data scan speed by using parallel compression engines. Moreover, the appliance meets organizations’ environmental needs reducing energy consumption by 60% and offering a 50% decrease in data center floor space.
No wonder Kubo thinks this platform is a smart choice for analytics.
